ROTHERHAM HELLABY GREYHOUND STADIUM

The South Yorkshire town of Rotherham had at least 3 greyhound tracks in the past, the least well known and earliest to open being on Bateman Road in Hellaby, and situated at 1° 14' W 53° 25' N. The track held its inaugural meeting on 7th April 1928 and continued to race for 2 years.

The final meeting was held in 1930, although there is still evidence today of the previous existence of a greyhound track.
